Associate Financial Advisor
About The Position
At Ameriprise Financial, the company helps clients with their financial goals and supports advisors and employees in reaching their potential through an inclusive and collaborative culture. This position is with an Ameriprise Financial Franchise owner. The role is instrumental in the smooth operation of a fast-paced financial planning office, working as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee. The associate financial advisor will assist financial advisor(s) in helping clients achieve their financial goals. The employing franchise owner will provide leadership to hone skills and build a client base. This role is key in creating and delivering a unique client experience, consistently adhering to high standards of business and professional ethics, and legal and regulatory requirements. The position provides client relationship support by managing, gathering, and analyzing client data, assisting in preparing financial plans and other client deliverables, resolving client issues, and performing other practice management tasks as needed.
Requirements
- College degree or higher
- 2+ years of similar experience
- Already have successfully completed the following: Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance license
Responsibilities
- Prepare for client meetings focused on planning discussions
- Gather and enter client data into Financial Planning Tool Suite
- Create planning deliverables
- Perform case analysis and develop recommendations
- Conduct and/or participate in client meetings to present recommendations/deliver advice
- Track/hold clients accountable to agreed upon actions
- Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested, as it relates to servicing their account
- Run illustrations and hypotheticals
- Develop appropriate product deliverables
- Execute appropriate trades to align with proposed portfolio
- Complete follow-up from client meetings, correspondence, calls,etc.
