About The Position

Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced and friendly financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations. The associate financial advisor will assist financial advisor(s) in working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. The employing franchise owner will lead you as you hone your skills and build a base of clients which you service. Requirements

  • Ability to meet with clients and present planning strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and initiative in business development
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow the business
  • Ability to recommend suitable investment products
  • Success at planning and managing resources
  • Ability to adhere to compliance rules and regulations
  • College degree or higher
  • 2+ years of similar experience
  • Must obtain or be able to study for and pass: Series 7, Series 66, State life, accident, and health insurance licenses

Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Client Acquisition (≈20%) Develop and implement annual marketing plan, contact prospects, coordinate seminars, leverage networks, implement referral programs, manage social media and advertising.
  • Financial Planning & Advice (≈25%) Gather client data, create planning deliverables, conduct meetings, track actions, answer client questions.
  • Product Solutions (≈25%) Assess risk tolerance, recommend portfolios, execute trades, monitor markets, manage wholesaler relationships.
  • Business Management & Client Care (≈15%) Review processes, delegate tasks, maintain client systems, ensure compliance.
