The Associate Field Service Technician must be customer focused and able to perform all mechanical and electronic repairs required in a timely fashion while meeting all required administrative requirements. This position warrants the highest level of professional representation between the customer and the company in all aspects of the customer relations. Elekta, world’s leading developer of state-of-the art medical tools and treatment planning systems, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. As an Associate Field Service Engineer, you must be customer focused and able to perform all mechanical and electronic repairs required in a timely fashion while meeting all required administrative requirements. You must have a strong electronics background, and available to travel when required. LOCATION: Remote based in Northeast GA or Greenville SC

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Associate degree, Technical School, or equivalent experience preferably in Electronics.
  • Possess a good electronics and mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer literate.
  • Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools i.e., Oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours when needed.
  • Uphold Elekta’s philosophy and all policies and procedures by maintaining appropriate controls to assure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of our organization.
  • Must maintain an active driver’s license in the home state.

Responsibilities

  • Perform low risk troubleshooting and repairs on the Brachy system with 60% success rate of diagnosing the problem while working within the escalation procedure.
  • Perform supervised calibrations, repairs, installs and preventative maintenance on the Brachy system.
  • Work safely on Elekta’s Brachy products.
  • Read and analyze schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Submit timely and accurate service reports, timesheets, expense reports, film badges, and other paperwork as assigned.
  • Parts inventory management.
  • Independently support customers remotely using the current tools/system provided (Remote First) with an 50% success.
  • Maintain all company-leased equipment, including company automobile, parts, test equipment and tools.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
