About the position

The Associate Field Application Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in aligning promotional strategies with sales activities, ensuring effective technical support and training for the sales organization. This position involves leading a team to enhance technical knowledge and customer satisfaction while fostering collaborations with key decision-makers in various sectors.

Responsibilities

• Aligning the promotional strategy and activities plan with the sales strategy and sales activities plan.
• Ensuring that the Promotions team supports the Sales organization by providing on-time and quality technical support and technical training to the target audience resulting in high customer satisfaction.
• Creating business opportunities by providing support and fostering collaborations with key decision-makers, both within buying and non-buying segments.
• Providing support to customers, particularly consultants, engineering firms, and architect offices, in project development and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• B.S. degree, preferably in electrical engineering.
• Experience in the electrical distribution or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Any previous field, plant, or design engineering experience in electrical power systems or industrial facilities is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of industry codes and standards; ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL preferred.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
