This position, under the Facilities Operations group, is responsible for managing vendors, supporting onsite services, and ensuring operational excellence across Illumina campuses in Northern California. The role requires strong coordination, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of professional experience (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk for long periods, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Confidence to take delegated tasks and seek clarification when needed.
  • Willingness to complete a broad range of administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage onsite and external vendors providing site services for employee experience.
  • Coordinate operational setup for remote sites and build-out of new office/common areas.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to ensure site alignment
  • Evaluate daily priorities and product allocations to support customer orders and internal requests.
  • Work closely with Financial Facilities Specialist (FFS) for accurate financial reporting, budget tracking, and invoicing.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements using LEAN principles.
  • Generate metrics, reports, and escalate discrepancies as needed.
  • Acquire and maintain understanding of technologies used in Illumina processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word effectively.
  • Provide input into OpEx and CapEx budgets; assist procurement with RFP processes and vendor quotes.
  • Read and interpret contracts (MSAs, SOWs, Amendments).
