About The Position

As Associate Executive Director serving in a Director of Operations focused capacity, you will support operational leadership across the Arlington and Corsicana hospice programs. This role centers on day-to-day execution, operational consistency, and team support within a growing multi-site Texas hospice environment. Working closely with executive and site leadership, you will help ensure stability, responsiveness, and alignment across programs. The Associate Executive Director provides day-to-day operational leadership for the hospice program, ensuring effective execution of administrative and program operations in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. This role functions as the primary operational leader supporting the Executive Director and maintains continuity of operations across the program. The Associate Executive Director may perform delegated operational functions during the absence of the Executive Director or Administrator, as permitted by applicable state regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare operations
  • Ability to meet applicable state requirements to serve as Hospice Administrator or Alternate Administrator as needed
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Texas Home and Community Support Services Agency Administrator License in accordance with state regulations
  • Working knowledge of hospice operations, interdisciplinary team structure, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience supervising administrative staff and supporting operational performance through coaching and accountability
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational leadership supporting patient access, service delivery, staffing coordination, and administrative execution
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations across Clinical Services, Business Development, Finance, and Support Services without assuming direct clinical or revenue ownership
  • Supervise assigned administrative staff including the Business Office Manager, providing guidance and performance oversight
  • Exercise independent decision-making authority within defined parameters to resolve operational issues and service recovery needs
  • Support monitoring of operational performance indicators including census flow, staffing efficiency, service quality, and patient satisfaction
  • Participate in administrator-on-call rotation as operational backup, as permitted by applicable regulations
  • Support compliance with hospice regulations and accreditation standards through operational process reinforcement and documentation readiness
  • Serve as a point of operational continuity during Executive Director or Administrator absences
  • Collaborate with leadership to support staffing plans, resource utilization, and operational budgeting
  • Support operational consistency across primary and satellite locations under a single license
  • Perform other duties as assigned
