About The Position

The Associate Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational execution in support of the Executive Director within a larger community. This role involves managing occupancy and financial performance, maintaining positive relationships with residents and staff, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a community or similar environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain relationships with residents and staff.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Experience in training and development of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage occupancy and monthly financial performance for the property.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, employees, and the business community.
  • Act as the primary contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public under the supervision of the Executive Director.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate staff while maintaining superior training and morale.
  • Ensure effective execution of training programs and maintain high resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide leadership to staff and residents, proactively solving problems and resolving issues.
  • Administer annual resident satisfaction surveys and execute renewal programs with existing residents.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with the Executive Director and maintain budget accountability.
  • Explore means of revenue enhancement and expense reduction.
  • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure buildings and grounds meet company standards through oversight of maintenance systems and inspections.
  • Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with requirements.
  • Foster creativity among staff to deliver high-quality services and maintain stability in the atmosphere.
  • Act as a member of the Resident Counsel and develop a positive image within the community.
  • Represent the facility and company to governmental agencies and community groups.
  • Conduct weekly department head meetings and quarterly associate and residential meetings.
  • Stay current on competitive projects and programs in the marketplace.
