The Associate Executive Director at Brightview Senior Living will embark on a journey to further hone relationship building and leadership skills as well as business acumen as they advance through our AED program in order to run a Brightview community of their own one day! It is imperative that the AED embrace the vision, the mission and the vibrancy of the organization as they will help lead a team in creating and maintaining a vibrant and engaging living environment for Brightview residents… and make Brightview a great place to work for its Associates!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of management experience in a similar environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, internet and industry specific software programs for marketing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Meet state licensing requirements (where applicable).
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Travel within Brightview Senior Living’s New England region which includes one community in Rhode Island, one community south of Boston and multiple communities north of Boston.
  • Work in an entrepreneurial environment and assist with leading your community with creativity and independence.
  • Help the Executive Director oversee day to day business operations to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.
  • Be involved in every facet of the operation – Hospitality, Health Services, Dining, Programming, Sales, Maintenance, and the Business Office.
  • Fill in for Directors on an interim basis, including an ED role as training progresses.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Brightview's policies and procedures and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire and train associates; plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
