About The Position

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated Associate Equipment Install Strength Engineer to support the Air Dominance Platform Systems organization located in Berkeley, MO. Boeing Air Dominance products support the vital missions of defense forces around the world and provide protection and relief in a constantly changing geopolitical environment. Boeing St. Louis is the proud home of some of the most advanced fixed wing platforms in the world, including F-15EX Eagle, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and T-7A Redhawk. This position offers an opportunity to support these platforms and the following systems Equipment Install. These platforms support customers including the US Air Force, US Navy, and international customers. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 2+ years of working experience with a Bachelor's OR a Masters degree.
• 0-2+ years related work experience in stress analysis.
• Experience with Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience in software development, programming, and coding for structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis using well defined analysis tools and methods to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Participate in various test activities to substantiate for customers that requirements are satisfied.
• Work in a collaborative team environment with the opportunity for frequent interaction with team members and mentors.
• Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
