Takes part in providing local technical assistance for the collection, identification, and compiling of observational and spatial data concerning a variety of biological, physical, and earth sciences. Provides local assistance for the development of processes and infrastructure relating to water supply, air emission, pollution control, cultural impact, and preserving the quality of the environment by identifying, controlling, and preventing disruption to environmental systems and species caused by human activity. Generates accurate and concise documentation, ensuring that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards. Your Impact Validate environmental analytical data in accordance with USEPA, regional, and state-specific validation guidelines to ensure data quality objectives are met. Prepare data validation narratives and data usability reports. Coordinate environmental laboratory services and field sampling events. Work with laboratories to ensure data meets client requirements and project data quality objectives. Manage and report environmental analytical data and geo-environmental data through multiple software platforms. Under general supervision, collect and compile chemical and environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, sludge, and other matrices for scientific analysis of chemical contamination. Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements. Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebook. Safetly perform work in the office and field; fieldwork may occur in all seasonal weather conditions, using equipment (with an ability to left and move approximately 50 pounds without assistance) and operating vehicles on behalf of the company. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
