About The Position

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Associate Engineer for the Laundry division’s Aesthetic team. This role will be based out of our St. Joseph Tech Center, in Benton Harbor, MI. This role is onsite and note remote. You will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to deliver superior quality products across Whirlpool brands, ensuring alignment with company targets and consumer needs. As an Associate Engineer, you will lead efforts to understand emerging trends, seek out real-life insights, and apply these learnings to design solutions that will impact the next generation of home appliances. This role may require international and domestic travel to collaborate with global design studios, attend workshops, conduct research, and participate in project reviews. The frequency of travel will vary based on project needs and business priorities. You will be responsible for developing and executing sub-system components, ensuring timely delivery and meeting required performance standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and globally distributed teams to define release schedules, manage risks, and address dependencies. Your focus will be on leading New Product Development to deliver innovative structural and aesthetic components for laundry products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
