About The Position

We're looking for an Associate Engineer (Mechanical) to support the design and quoting of custom seals and shelter products, helping customers get exactly what they need for unique building and application requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and mechanical design drafting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with custom product design or quoting preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom seals and shelters for customer-specific needs.
• Create and update CAD drawings for quotes, concepts, and manufacturing details.
• Prepare cost estimates and formal quotations that meet profitability standards.
• Review and approve drawings, specifications, and parts lists for accuracy.
• Coordinate with customer service, planning, and production to ensure smooth order flow.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical or assembly issues related to special orders.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, and regional managers to clarify customer requirements and ensure accurate designs.
• Provide technical guidance on custom applications and installation considerations.
• Assist internal teams with understanding special designs and features.
• Maintain organized design and quote documentation.
• Identify opportunities to standardize or streamline frequently requested custom designs.
• Participate in meetings and initiatives supporting ongoing engineering improvements.
