The Engineer, Product Compliance supports global programs to ensure Rockwell Automation products meet evolving environmental standards, certifications, and regulations. This includes compliance with requirements related to substances of concern, energy efficiency, ESPR, and end-of-life responsibilities. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Standards and Compliance-Environmental, this role partners with sourcing and product development teams to embed compliance into design and lifecycle processes, enabling global market access and sustainable innovation.

  • Implement project plans to ensure compliance with environmental product regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory and market trends to assess impact on products.
  • Read, interpret, and implement regulatory requirements with support from Subject Matter Experts.
  • Analyze complex data sets to support regulatory decision-making.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement compliance strategies.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders with product compliance information.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and business units to ensure compliant product design.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to support compliance goals.
  • Support strategic projects with significant impact on product conformity.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and suppliers to align supply chain with compliance needs.
  • Manage objectives within broader business constraints.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, Quality or Computer Engineering, Data Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Typically requires 0+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, or environmental compliance (electronics industry).
  • Experience with product stewardship, environmental regulations, certifications, or quality programs.
  • Familiarity with Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directives.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation's SAP.
  • Additional education in engineering, business, operations, or project management.
  • Experience evaluating complex data sets using Excel, Python, PowerBI.
  • Experience with project management techniques and tools.
  • Experience managing complex datasets derived from multiple sources.
