If you're driven by the passion to change lives, this is the place for you.Job Summary and Responsibilities The Associate Engineer works under general supervision to provide Engineering support to field staff and personnel through a variety of projects and assignments. The Associate Engineer evaluates system performance through modeling, develops system designs, oversees construction, maintenance, and operations activities, investigates incidents, trouble-shoots systems and equipment, tests materials, and performs other assignments. As an Associate Engineer, you will learn to: Ensure a safe and reliable natural gas system is maintained for Peoples Gas customers Work with a variety of software to analyze design feasibility, create initial design estimate and progress designs through approval for construction Understand the operation of gas facilities to properly supply natural gas to customers Develop knowledge of the installation process of new facilities and the retirement of existing ones as a part of new pipeline replacement program Work with various stakeholders and provide input on technical engineering aspects of projects These positions are part of our engineering rotation program. This provides our Engineers opportunity to learn a variety of engineering functions.
