Associate Embedded Systems Software Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Northwest Electromagnetics Lab Team is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Embedded Systems Software Engineer supporting Radar Cross Section Measurements based out of Tukwila, WA. The Associate Embedded Systems Software Engineer will support design, development, maintenance, integration, and testing of critical laboratory systems including existing radar and electromechanical systems. This engineer will also be responsible for supporting future, cutting-edge technologies in a nationally recognized lab. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required
  • 2+ years of experience in developing, documenting and maintaining complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, software-to-hardware interfaces and designs for software systems
  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software
  • 2+ years of experience in software architecture and design of embedded software systems
  • 2+ years of Software coding experience using LabView, Test Stand, C/C#, Python, FPGA Verilog/VHDL, and/or Matlab Signal
  • 2+ years in designing and implementing Visual C++/MFC based GUI Applications
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Experience with Windows development environment
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Version One
  • Experience with Real-time or embedded software development
  • Modeling & Simulation software development experience
  • Experience with aging software languages

Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional electromechanical software system
  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
  • Performs software project management and software supplier management functions
  • Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
  • Executes and documents software research and development projects
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
  • Works under general direction
