The selected candidate will operate under the direct supervision of a senior engineer and support projects around ground-based mobile satellite communication systems, antenna manufacturing, and radio frequency engineering. The Associate Electrical Engineer may lead research, develop, plan, design, and integrate electrical products and systems. This position will be required to apply the principles and techniques of electrical engineering to complete engineering projects and solve engineering problems in all phases of design, development, integration, testing and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with valid documentation
  • 0-2 years experience troubleshooting electrical systems, RF design, or power systems design

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of RF systems
  • Basic knowledge working with mobile satellite communications systems
  • Ability to draft and read electrical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team
  • Experience drafting in AutoCad Electrical
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Apply entry level electrical engineering principles in areas of RF, power, AC/DC circuit, communications, and software
  • Perform research, design, modify, develop and evaluate systems, products, components, and applications by applying fundamental electrical engineering principles
  • Validate equipment performance and capabilities by developing testing methods, performing tests, and documenting test results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve systems for satellite/radio frequency communications and power distribution
  • Will lead projects to completion by developing schedules to ensure technical performance is met and within cost
  • May perform site surveys and field installations
  • Communicate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing personnel, management, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, i.e., drawings, project specifications, procedures, test data and results
  • Abide by company policies, procedures, and AS9100 quality policy
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have the ability to obtain a US DOD security clearance
