In this role, you will have the opportunity to function in a technical specialist capacity, performing all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis. You will develop electrical design for water/wastewater projects and a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, electrical installation details, and technical specifications. You will also coordinate with regional and global design teams and engage in continuous learning and development of technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
  • 3+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services within the Water/Wastewater industry.
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, and in pursuit of Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Responsibilities

  • Function in a technical specialist capacity under general supervision.
  • Broaden knowledge and skill set in area of discipline.
  • Develop Electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
  • Develop complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with regional and global design teams.
  • Conduct project studies including Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis.
  • Perform construction inspection and resolve electrical construction issues.
  • Prepare increasingly complex engineering calculations and deliverables.
  • Interact with external clients and focus on their interests and drivers.
  • Mentor entry level professionals and interns.
