Requirements

  • Marine electrical background with minimum of 2 years industry experience, completed an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience working with 3D CAD systems is advantageous but not critical
  • Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of electrical systems from early concept stages through to testing ready for production.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, such as, test requirements, and design documentation supporting material.
  • Help to assemble and test prototype systems in our on-site facilities, capturing lessons learnt and exploring how the products can be improved.
  • Capture and document decisions, learn, explore and absorb new technologies to help build a better product.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to review and validate design work.
  • Contribute to concept discussions and reading of supporting material to absorb design information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date design data using established processes.
  • Take part in team design reviews and contribute constructively to continuous improvement.
  • Observe and learn from cross-functional experts working with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cooling systems.
