The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is now accepting applications for the position of Associate Education Consultant, within the Turnaround Office. Supporting turnaround schools and their students can be highly rewarding work, as it advances opportunities for students in some of Connecticut's most underserved communities. The Associate Education Consultant position is an important part of the Turnaround team. It will require providing direct support and technical assistance to and monitoring of the Connecticut schools/districts that are identified for improvement under Connecticut's Every Student Succeeds Act plan and for reformulation under the Phase V Settlement and Court Order derived from the Connecticut Supreme Court case, Sheff v. O'Neill. This position requires the balance of support for school improvement with measures of compliance with required diversity goals and enrollment standards, and requires the ability to interface with educational leaders and provide school improvement support, conduct program evaluations and audits, produce reports, provide monitoring and feedback, and manage grant approvals.
