About The Position

The Associate role at Spencer Stuart focuses on supporting the Education and Social Impact (ESI) Practice by assisting in executive searches for C-level positions. This position involves research, assessment, and relationship-building to deliver exceptional service to clients. The Associate will work closely with Consultants and engage with senior-level executives, contributing to the development of diverse candidate slates and gaining deep knowledge of the candidate pool over time.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive business experience in executive search, strategy consulting, or a relevant professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in a high-performance environment with multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in client kick-off meetings and assist in developing position specifications and search strategies.
  • Gather information on relevant industries and target companies, identifying potential candidates.
  • Validate candidates through reference and source calls.
  • Collaborate with Consultants to present a slate of qualified candidates to clients.
  • Prepare position specifications, candidate presentations, and reference reports following the firm's assessment methodology.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to stay updated on search developments.
  • Organize information for client updates and meetings, providing insights on candidates.
  • Monitor industry activities and management changes, keeping the team informed.
  • Enhance the firm's candidate pool by identifying and introducing new talent.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and local practice initiatives.
