Papaya Veterinary Care is looking for Associate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) candidates for our ER hospital in Encinitas, CA. We are a transformative veterinary hospital that offers an elevated level of care to both our patients (fur babies) and caregivers (clients). Our hospital is roughly 3000 square feet, plenty of treatment tables, exam rooms, surgical room, and a break room for staff to put up their feet. Requirements

  • Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of California
  • 1+ years’ experience practicing emergency medicine.
  • Knowledge of current medical best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills and the ability to develop caring, trusting, lasting relationships with pet parents and team members.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • A desire to participate in the development of the hospital’s client base, operating procedures, staff training, mentorship, and technology.
  • Must be able to work weekends, schedule currently rotates through either a Day or Overnight shift on each weekend.
  • Minimum 1 year in Emergency Medicine, must be able to practice solo (Required)
