About The Position
The Associate Distribution System Engineer Entry position at SMUD is an entry-level role within the Distribution Operations Engineering department. The selected candidate will provide real-time engineering support for the safe and reliable operation of SMUD's distribution system. This role involves troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining various operational tools, including the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, assisting with system outages, analyzing power quality data, and evaluating customer generation interconnection proposals. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with standards.
