Associate Distribution Operator, System Operations
About The Position
Job Summary: Assist in coordinating and supervising distribution operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of switching activities and system controls. Support the implementation of installation, repair, and maintenance projects by managing the opening and closing of distribution devices. Apply sound judgment within established procedures and collaborate with senior operators to maintain service quality and operational reliability. Job Description: Under the direct supervision of a Senior Distribution Operator: Organizes, coordinates, and assists in supervising switching operations to support installation, repair, and maintenance projects for distribution system lines. Ensures all operational activities follow established schedules, norms, procedures, policies, and safety regulations. Authorizes scheduled and emergency switching routes while ensuring full compliance with safety standards. Monitors maintenance and repair orders to expedite correction of defects in the distribution system. Directs field personnel regarding services, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations. Prepares operational reports and log daily activities, events, and identified defects. Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of the field and participate in trainings, seminars, and other educational activities. Supports daily operations and team tasks to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery. Maintains daily work and documentation to uphold quality and accuracy. Assists customers or internal teams to enhance service experience and operational efficiency. Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations. Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services. Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronic Technology.
- Valid driver’s license in Puerto Rico
