About The Position

The Associate Director is responsible for supporting the Director in overseeing and implementing initiatives and programs that improve the health and wellness of Allen County residents. This role plays a key part in strategic planning, community engagement, partnership building, and the day-to-day management of the organization's operations and projects. The Associate Director will collaborate with various community stakeholders, assist in grant management, and ensure successful delivery of Activate Allen County's mission and goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in program management and development in health and wellness initiatives.
  • Strong skills in community engagement and partnership building.
  • Ability to monitor, evaluate, and report on program effectiveness.
  • Experience in grant writing and management.
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing health and wellness initiatives, events, and campaigns.
  • Oversee and support the director, partners & volunteers in implementing health initiatives, including the development of new programs to address identified community needs.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on program effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Represent Activate Allen County at community meetings, coalitions, and events to strengthen community partnerships and advocate for health and wellness initiatives.
  • Engage with diverse community stakeholders, including local governments, businesses, schools, healthcare providers, and nonprofits to further organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director in developing and executing strategic plans and goals for the organization.
  • Support organizational objectives, including growth, sustainability, and community impact measures.
  • Assist with writing, securing, and managing grants, including tracking deliverables and budgets in compliance with funding requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Director to identify new funding opportunities and develop proposals to support program expansion.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring programs and services run smoothly and meet established goals.
