About The Position

This role drives sales activities for Principal Asset Management throughout DC, N. VA suburbs of DC, and Southern Maryland. This position partners closely with the Internal Wholesaler within territory for collective success in growing advisor relationships. Accountable for achieving sales targets and managing broker dealer relationships within all channels covering our ETF's, Separately Managed Accounts and Mutual Funds. Other responsibilities will include: Develop, recommend and implement sales plans, activity reports and rotation schedules with a focus on growing market share May provide input on marketing, product development, shareholder/broker communications and integration of campaigns with broker dealers and fund wholesaling teams Highest level of integrity and presentation skills If you have extensive knowledge of the financial markets, investment products, and building advisor relationships - then this may be the job for you! Who You Are Bachelor's degree or equivalent required and 2+ years sales specific industry experience (investment products, capital markets, partnering with advisors). FINRA licensing required including SIE or equivalent and series 7 Series 63 required within 45 days Advanced designations preferred (eg, CFP, CFA, CIMA, CAIA) Excellent knowledge of investment products and financial markets required Strong interpersonal skills, consultative skills, advisor management expertise, and analytical analysis are required Must have strong presentation, and oral and written communication skills Good training and motivational skills are necessary Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Travel required, including overnight stays Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. This position needs to be located within territory (DC, N. VA, Southern MD). Requirements
