About The Position

The Associate Director, US Pharma Payer Marketing, New Products/BD is responsible for developing market access strategies and solutions for pipeline and launch candidates, as well as business development targets. This role involves collaboration across various functions to create payer customer segment access strategies, value evidence plans, and commercial assessments. The position also requires working with Global Market Access and Pricing teams to develop pricing and contracting strategies, ensuring alignment with business priorities across multiple therapeutic areas.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree required; Pharm D, MPH, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access, account management, business development, or consulting in the healthcare industry.
  • Understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and its economics across various payer segments.
  • Knowledge of US healthcare trends and policy issues affecting business opportunities.
  • Ability to develop and execute brand and customer marketing strategies, including digital engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and market research insights.
  • Ability to translate market trends into customer resources or tactics.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven success in establishing and maintaining business relationships.
  • Strong collaboration, project management, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing market access and pricing/contracting strategies.
  • Experience in product launch or launch planning.
  • Consulting or stakeholder management experience in a cross-functional capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop market access strategies for assigned pipeline and launch candidates.
  • Collaborate with US New Products and Brand Marketing, Global Market Access, and Business Development teams.
  • Leverage market and customer insights to shape market access strategies.
  • Develop payer customer segment strategy to inform forecasts and product choices.
  • Support US Finance in the development of forecasts.
  • Create payer value propositions, pricing, and contracting strategies.
  • Participate in the development of value evidence strategies in coordination with Outcomes Research.
