This position will be a mobile worker with up to 25% travel. As the Associate Director - Training and Field Execution, you will lead a team of people leaders responsible for executing the strategic vision & plans you develop centered around training, communications, and execution of strategic initiatives in the field for the Value Indirect organization. Your organization will be responsible for creating & delivering training, developing resources, drafting & delivering communications, and ensuring front line sales associates deliver a positive overall customer experience in Value Indirect locations.

  • Build & execute on a strategic framework centered around sales & experience excellence in Value Indirect physical distribution.
  • Lead a team of people leaders responsible for the execution of training, resources, communications, implementation, and customer experience strategy in Verizon Value Indirect channel.
  • Lead and manage cross functional programs & projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with channel priorities & sales goals.
  • Build and deliver strategic plans driving execution in the field centered around Value Indirect strategic initiatives and levers.
  • Scope, define, and lead development of implementation plans, with end-to-end ownership of multiple complex projects and driving business priorities with limited oversight and direction.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate project updates verbally and in writing to stakeholders, team members, and leadership to ensure all projects are aligned with established strategy.
  • Develop credibility as a strong business partner and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead and oversee post mortem reviews of achievements vs. strategic plans. Identify areas of improvement to drive better results.
  • Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • High proficiency levels of Google Workspace knowledge with a particular command of Slides/Powerpoint design and creation.
  • Excellent presentation skills including creating content and experience in presenting information to small and large groups from front line to executive-level.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and manage stakeholder expectations with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately up to 25%.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with program and/or project management.
  • Experience in a role that involves strategy development and execution planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, learn quickly, prioritize and work under pressure, adapt to a rapidly changing environment, and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with external partners and/or vendors.
  • Experience in the Verizon Value segment and/or Indirect Sales channel.
  • Experience building new enablement tools/programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills, with proven ability to successfully communicate ideas and recommendations to all organizational levels.
  • Experience driving sales, productivity, performance and results with the ability to influence without direct authority.
