Your Role: Reporting to the Head of Strategy Development of Process Solutions (PS), the Associate Director of Strategy Development will lead strategic initiatives across functions, including marketing, franchise, R D, commercial, and operations, to shape and execute the PS strategy. This role requires a seasoned leader who can navigate complex environments and inspire teams to collaborate effectively. They will drive the identification of growth drivers and challenges, leveraging data-driven insights to understand market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and evolving customer needs. They will articulate key findings and strategic recommendations to senior business leaders, establishing credibility and trust across the organization as a strategic thought partner. This role demands the ability to balance multiple priorities, manage tight timelines, and deliver high-impact results. Given the visibility to senior management, this position offers significant career advancement opportunities. Location: This is a global role which can be remote from anywhere in the US (preferred) or EU.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in life science, engineering or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience required, with a proven track record in strategic roles.
  • Management consulting experience required, ideally at a top-tier firm.
  • Solid understanding of the pharma/life science space required.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%, including international trips.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive marquee strategy projects across regions and/or cross-franchise and cross-function to deliver incremental growth and profitability for Process Solutions.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to rapidly deliver business impact, engaging in one-on-one discussions, small group collaborations, and larger formal presentations to drive key decisions and manage overall business outcomes.
  • Prepare for Capital Markets Day by developing and presenting strategic narratives that highlight key initiatives and growth opportunities to investors and stakeholders.
  • Own the preparation for Investor Relations, ensuring that all communications and presentations align with the strategic vision and objectives of Process Solutions.
  • Understand evolving market, industry, and customer trends, translating insights into actionable strategies for Process Solutions.
  • Build analytical models that demonstrate the impact of strategic initiatives, developing relevant KPIs and tracking mechanisms to assess impact on P&L in partnership with finance.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support M&A prioritization and target assessment.
  • Establish strong relationships across Life Science organization to ensure alignment with the overall organization and a deep understanding of our business.
