The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is hiring an Associate Director of Single Cell Biology Lab, a core facility driving innovative single cell and spatial omics technologies. Join our efforts to provide cutting-edge molecular assays, multiplex imaging, and organoid screening platforms to researchers across JAX and UConn campuses. The Associate Director will oversee a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of scientists that provides world class service and advanced groundbreaking research across multiple campuses. The incumbent will support the Director, Single Cell Biology with on-going R&D and operations of the Single Cell Biology Laboratory (SCBL) within the Scientific Services at JAX supporting all JAX campuses. This is one of two Associate Director positions within the SCBL, with this position focused on dry lab aspects and the other on wet lab aspects of the service. Service offerings within SCBL include single cell molecular assays, imaging-based multiplex assays, and functional cell biology assays inclusive of an organoid screening platform. The Associate Directors will assist in the establishment and maintenance of these state-of-the art methods in this biological space and the delivery of these methods and services in support of the JAX research community and its external partners. This Associate Director position will have key responsibilities in directly interacting with end users in the design and execution of studies, in establishing and maintaining laboratory informatics, data management, robotics and computer infrastructure, single cell and imaging analytics, and the coordination with Computational Sciences Scientific Services in this analytics.
