Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Associate Director / Sales Planning Team lead is a high impact, high paced role with accountability for topline and share outcomes with bottom line results. As a leader in the sales function and Cleaning Business Unit at Clorox, you will need to have the ability to deeply influence and make business-led recommendations to the general manager, functional vice presidents, and executive level leaders. This role will require you to work in cross-functional teams, with field sales leaders, and functional experts to maximize Clorox’s business results. This leader will achieve company and business unit objectives by owning and driving customers / Channel, setting clear strategic priorities for field counter parts, and executing growth minded business plans. The successful applicant to this role will have a proven track record leading teams and driving business results in the CPG environment. Beyond outcomes, the applicant will showcase the ability to influence senior leaders, partner with cross-functional and account managers, and the ability to develop strategic frameworks and drive through execution. In this role, you will:

Requirements

  • Typically, 10+ years of CPG experience and BS/BA Degree
  • An ability to travel ~25% of the time for customer engagements
  • Significant Clorox/equivalent business unit and Customer Experience (club, home hardware, and dollar channel are strongly desired)
  • A proven track record of driving topline results, launching game changing innovation, and developing winning strategies for CPG retail partners
  • Advanced CPG knowledge of customer and marketplace dynamics and business levers, choices, and trade-offs required to deliver good growth and manage for profit
  • Strong communication and influence with senior leaders, customer teams, and retailer partners
  • An ability to create strategic frameworks and then successfully implement and execute the tactics that support the strategy
  • Proficiency in People Management, Sr. Leadership Communication/Influence, Cross Functional Knowledge/Influence, Financial Acumen
  • Knowledgeable in innovation processes, S&OP/OE, Sales analytics tools (IRI, Panel, Rapid), Categories/Brands, Retail Marketplace, Category Selling and Negotiation, Customer Business Planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Club, Dollar, and HHW Channel: Set a winning strategy for field counterparts inclusive of plans, priorities, strategies, and objectives to grow
  • Identify trends, themes, and opportunities/risks in customer plans and results to create structured, tailored, and strategic action plans
  • Enroll senior BU leaders in customer specific plans generating resourcing, funding, innovation, etc.
  • Deliver Business results: Develop and execute best in class plans by driving results through internal planning sessions and external customer facing meeting
  • Leverage and influence business unit counterparts (finance, R&D, etc) to deliver incremental tools to customer teams to execute in-year and multiyear plans
  • Create strong peer relationships with field counterparts that generate bigger, better plans and execution
  • Team and People Leadership: Develop and drive relationships with Senior Leaders at the Clorox
  • Develop, coach and build direct reports to successful outcomes
