Associate Director, Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology The Associate Director of the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology provides strategic and operational leadership to support the Center’s mission of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students at Brigham Young University. Working closely with the Center Director, this full-time role helps guide the Center’s strategic direction while overseeing the implementation of programs, initiatives, and events that engage students across the university. The Associate Director plays a key role in strengthening the Rollins Center’s visibility and impact while promoting a culture of collaboration, integrity, and values-based leadership consistent with the vision, mission, and values of the BYU Marriott School of Business.

Requirements

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ entrepreneurial and managerial experience or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep understanding of the principles of entrepreneurship and innovation, and corresponding ability to stay current with best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex programs or initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership for the Rollins Center, overseeing daily activities, supervising staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of programs that support innovation and entrepreneurship across campus.
  • Partner with the Rollins Center Director to shape and execute the Center’s strategic vision, developing goals, roadmaps, and performance metrics that drive continuous growth and impact.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of staff and student employees.
  • Oversee the design and execution of high-impact entrepreneurship programs, competitions, and events that engage students across the university and strengthen the Center’s campus presence.
  • Support and expand entrepreneurship curriculum initiatives, including coordinating guest speakers, facilitating the Entrepreneur Lecture Series, and collaborating with faculty to enhance program offerings.
  • Actively mentor and engage with students, providing guidance, answering questions, and supporting student ventures and entrepreneurial development.
  • Strengthen relationships with faculty, university leaders, alumni, industry partners, mentors, and external organizations to expand opportunities and resources available to students.
  • Collaborate on fundraising and donor engagement initiatives, helping cultivate relationships with supporters and secure resources that sustain and expand student programming.
  • Drive operational excellence through data-informed decision-making, monitoring program outcomes, tracking key performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support responsible stewardship of Center resources, assisting with budgeting, ensuring compliance with university policies, and helping align operations with the Rollins Center’s long-term goals.
