The team comprises strategists, solutionists, technologists, and data analysts who collaborate with brand partners to enhance customer connections. The agency is seeking an Associate Director to lead strategic analytics across key retail accounts. The ideal candidate is a trusted strategic partner with a retail-first perspective grounded in data science and quantitative thinking, capable of delivering fast, accurate, and insight-driven work. They should be adept at presenting, debating, and building credibility with clients, elevating client-facing strategy through data-backed retail thinking and analytical rigor. The role requires adaptability to evolving client needs, a consultative mindset, and a focus on building lasting client partnerships through trust and analytical rigor.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience at a retailer or media agency with deep exposure to analytics and performance media across digital and traditional channels
  • Strong background in retail and/or commerce-driven media environments
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships, generating and presenting compelling analytics POVs to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Proven experience leading testing strategies and measurement frameworks
  • Strong expertise in audience strategy and data-driven segmentation
  • Collaborative leader who elevates the entire team—whether coaching planners on stronger insights, teaching statistical approaches, or mentoring junior analytics talent

  • Experience with tools such as Looker, Power BI or similar visualization platforms

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex data into clear, actionable strategies that directly inform client media planning and business decisions
  • Elevate clients’ measurement capabilities by leading the development of testing roadmaps, learning agendas, and measurement frameworks—including MMM alignment and predictive analytics—going well beyond routine reporting
  • Deliver meaningful interpretation and storytelling that connects data insights to tangible business outcomes
  • Own the performance narrative for clients—clearly articulating media’s business impact through advanced quantitative analysis
  • Partner closely with planning and buying teams to embed analytics-informed thinking into every client recommendation
  • Design and oversee rigorous testing frameworks and learning agendas across platforms—including incrementality, A/B, and geo-testing—tailored to retail client objectives
  • Translate testing results into clear strategic implications and concrete next steps that clients can act on
  • Apply a deep understanding of retail audiences and first-party data to shape smarter targeting and segmentation strategies for clients
  • Convert audience insights into measurable performance improvements across client accounts
  • Build credibility and rapport with clients by delivering smart, direct, and insight-led recommendations that drive confident decision-making
  • Earn and maintain trust with key client stakeholders through intelligence, clarity, and responsiveness
  • Identify opportunities within client challenges to bring forward innovative solutions and new capabilities that address their evolving needs
