About The Position

The Associate Director of Real-World Data Strategy at Novo Nordisk is responsible for leading the direction and expertise in clinical and real-world data within the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Affairs department. This role involves driving insights and data governance initiatives that significantly impact business decisions, while also contributing to the strategic vision of the department. The position requires the development and execution of strategies to optimize clinical and real-world data assets, utilizing advanced techniques and technologies to support decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters/MD/PharmD in a healthcare-related field (health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, public health, etc.).
• At least 6 years of experience in US healthcare data applications, with 4 years in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare consulting.
• Strong knowledge of US healthcare systems, including managed care organizations and Medicare/Medicaid.
• Proven record of outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in innovative trials and data linkage.
• Knowledge of health economics and outcomes research.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and strategic oversight for clinical and real-world data resources aligned with business plans.
• Develop solutions to complex problems related to data tokenization and linkage.
• Scout novel real-world data sources within the assigned therapeutic area (TA).
• Support business cases for innovative solutions through presentations to management.
• Analyze the technology landscape to identify new methodologies and improve access to scientific information and data.
• Drive training and education on real-world and clinical data sources as needed.
• Serve as a liaison to global and non-CMR functions regarding real-world data initiatives.
