Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director of Production Control for the Radio Frequency Technology (RFT) Factory located in Andover, MA. Reporting to the Director of Production Control and Logistics, this position is a key member of the Operations Leadership Team responsible for overseeing production control, material planning, and work-in-process management to ensure successful customer delivery. The role will lead a team of approximately 20 employees, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement while driving operational excellence. This position requires cross-functional leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. The Associate Director will collaborate with teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives while championing innovative solutions for material management. This will be an onsite role in our Andover, MA facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or other production schedule-driven environments.
  • Manufacturing operations, finance, or project management relevant to the role.
  • Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment with a focus on managing collective bargaining workforces.
  • Experience with Special Program Access and other business systems, including shop floor data systems.
  • Experience in Six Sigma, CORE, Lean Manufacturing processes, diagnostics, and continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience driving financial performance, cost reduction, staffing, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team, driving performance management, goal setting, career development, and training initiatives while fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams, leveraging expertise in operations and program management to optimize production processes in a complex, high-technology environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards such as FAR/DFAR, ISO, OSHA, and ITAR, while maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Oversee production planning, material management, and the release of over 14,000 production orders annually, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with contract and revenue requirements.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and safeguard $28 million in precious metals and MRO stores supporting over 250 machines.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures utilizing Raytheon CORE practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Drive operational improvements through metrics-based strategies, ensuring material availability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support IRAD/CRAD activities, franchise program management, and advanced technology coordination to enable strategic growth and innovation.
  • Oversee 400+ process steps across 3 key value streams comprising RF Head (TPY2, SPY-6, LTAMDS), Saw Module Fab, and Crystal Fab, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across the organization to align strategies, execute projects on tight deadlines, and support enterprise goals.
