About The Position

This role involves leading client relationships by providing expert accounting guidance, overseeing financial processes, and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. Additionally, the position includes managing audits, tax filings, budgeting, and client onboarding while identifying opportunities for service expansion and maintaining high-quality client service.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in alternative investment management (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, or real estate)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license
  • Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, ideally with some in-house experience
  • Excel at managing multiple client engagements while maintaining strong attention to detail and multitasking effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with tools like QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite, and Sage

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the client lead and maintain strong working relationships through direct communication with multiple clients
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and fee calculations, ensuring compliance with fund documents and accounting policies
  • Responsible for evaluating and improving financial processes, managing client onboarding, and aligning expectations using best practices
  • Manage billing, monitor engagement economics, supervise direct reports, and identify opportunities to expand services across IQEQ segments
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through mentoring, training, and active participation in meetings and departmental initiatives
