The Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives leads the execution of the Indirect Sourcing Strategic Plan across the enterprise, while focusing on expanding operations, optimizing suppliers, and achieving top-tier category management. This role leverages data, analytics, and AI tools to enhance negotiation strategies and productivity for indirect spend, which directly contributes to the company’s growth and value. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.   • Leading and coaching the Program Management Office (PMO) to deliver key workstreams that support the Indirect Sourcing Strategic Plan
  • Partnering with Indirect Sourcing leadership and Centers of Excellence (CoE) to execute strategy priorities including organization agility, supply base optimization, and digital enablement
  • Building a strong indirect sourcing organization with clear governance, performance metrics, and talent development
  • Optimizing the supplier ecosystem through consolidation, performance management, and strategic partnerships
  • Overseeing category strategies across IT, HR, Marketing, Facilities, and Professional Services to align with enterprise priorities
  • Driving source-to-contract process improvements, automation, and implementing digital tools to enhance efficiency and value
  • Leveraging analytics, AI, and KPI dashboards to inform strategy and power data-driven negotiations
  • Supporting acquisition diligence, vendor integration, and indirect sourcing strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of procurement and/or sourcing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing multi-level teams
  • Strong contract and commercial negotiation experience
  • Experience leading large-scale strategic or process-improvement initiatives
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across global and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel up to 10% globally
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in supply base optimization, category management, and S2P transformation
  • Familiarity with digital tools, automation, and analytics-driven decision making
  • Strong change leadership experience in a global matrixed environment
  • Ability to influence and manage complex stakeholder groups
  • Experience integrating clinical or acquisition-related vendors
