The Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives has a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for leading strategic and operational initiatives on behalf of the executive leadership team. This position involves a variety of functions related to general management and business operations across the company and its businesses. This role is essential for ensuring that the executive leadership's vision and strategies are effectively communicated and executed across the organization. The Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and drive the company's success. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Supports core leadership team in being accountable for the performance and results through multiple layers of management * Develops, translates, and executes strategies and operational objectives at the segment level * Leads strategic and operational initiatives/projects on behalf of executive leadership team members * Serves as a liaison between the leader and the organization's internal and external stakeholders * Prepares analysis of various operations teams as well as business updates and insights for leaders * Communicates senior leadership decisions and monitors execution * Drives programs that positively impact markets, customers and consumers * Directs others to resolve highly complex or unusual business problems that affect major functions or disciplines You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in strategy, business planning, product or general management * Experience in leading strategic and operational initiatives * Solid history of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders and exhibiting executive presence Preferred Qualifications: * Healthcare experience * Proven excellent communication skills to serve as a liaison and to prepare analysis and reports * Proven ability to provide leadership to multiple layers of management and senior-level professional staff * Proven to be capable of developing and executing strategies for a region, line of business, or major portion of a business segment * All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
