The Associate Director of Product Management position is responsible for the overall management of the Technology Solutions Cloud and Training product lines, including growth, profitability, and client satisfaction. This position is also responsible for the strategic planning and launch of new product offerings for assigned product line. As an Associate Director, this position must operate at a strategic level, focusing on long-term plans and strategic priorities that benefit J. J. Keller as a whole. This position is a hybrid role and will be required to work on-site at our Neenah, WI Corporate Office 3 days/week with 2 days/week work-from-home.

  • Leads, develops and coaches associates on the Product Management team.
  • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition.
  • Participates in the hiring/selection process.
  • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports.
  • Handles associate relations issues.
  • Delivers results in line with key metrics/accountabilities including strategic planning for service roadmap, on time and quality delivery of new service offerings, revenue and gross margin objectives, associate retention, budget control, and client satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on the creation of a product roadmap for Technology Solutions Cloud and Training lines.
  • Performs customer/market needs analysis and manages the existing assigned lines by delivering enhancements that address those needs.
  • Develops and manages processes that transform business requirements into detailed product/service requirements, and leads cross functional teams in product/service definition and design.
  • Partners with the Software Development team throughout the development process to ensure a high quality, on time delivery of features and functions that meet client/market expectations.
  • Ensures future service line releases reflect the experience gained from external market activities, customer discussions, usage analysis, competition, and market research.
  • Oversees the successful implementation and delivery of services.
  • Partners with Editorial and other groups within the organization to leverage Corporate expertise in safety, compliance, and risk management to best serve customers and market needs.
  • Monitors and communicates issues related to emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Represents J. J. Keller at industry and market events to promote assigned services.
  • Establishes and manages the Customer Loyalty Index for assigned services and creates specific plans and strategies based on periodic survey results.
  • Develops pricing strategies to maximize market share and maintain profitability.
  • Outlines product business cases and investment justification.
  • Creates key product benefits and value propositions, including target customers and problems to solve, product positioning, and competitive environment.
  • Defines product launch strategy and sets plans for go to market.
  • Works with business, operations, marketing, sales etc. on execution of plans and decisions.
  • Develops and conducts sales readiness training to prepare channel to support new product introduction and meet launch objectives.
  • Measures product launch effectiveness.
  • Creates pathways for ongoing customer feedback and engagement.
  • Supports strategic planning, market planning and execution.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner.
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions.
  • Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a Technology field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a product management or project management role in a related technology or industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 2+ years of experience in working with user interface design resources and writing/reviewing product requirements.
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, client service and operations teams on new product launches or line extensions.
  • Ability to develop and implement growth plans and programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of product management processes and methodologies.
  • Solution and team oriented, with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of complex Sales processes related to technology-based products or services.
  • Ability to recognize sales channel capabilities and package products accordingly.
