The Associate Director of Marketing at Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing ticket sales and audience engagement. This position works closely with the Director of Marketing and Sales to develop comprehensive marketing plans that resonate with CST's target audiences, understanding their motivations and behaviors. The Associate Director will also collaborate with the Education Department to support their strategic efforts in engaging teachers and students, ensuring that marketing efforts align with educational outreach goals. In this role, the Associate Director will coordinate and manage all day-to-day marketing functions across the organization, ensuring a consistent brand presence in the community. This includes collaborating with various departments such as Graphic Design, Box Office, Communications, and Public Relations to implement marketing strategies effectively. The Associate Director will oversee the execution of marketing campaigns for single tickets, subscriptions, and group sales, including budgeting, media strategy, and creative concepting. They will also be responsible for project management of the annual subscription campaign, ensuring timely execution of print, email, social media, and advertising plans. The Associate Director will generate compelling messaging that highlights the unique aspects of CST's productions, aiming to increase multi-show attendance through customized messaging. They will maintain the Marketing Department's annual expense budgets, provide monthly budget status reports, and work with external media buying agencies to finalize media mixes for productions. Additionally, the Associate Director will interpret analytics from various platforms to refine digital strategies and maximize audience engagement. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding consumer behavior and adapting marketing strategies accordingly, as well as planning and executing audience engagement opportunities to foster patron loyalty and satisfaction.
