About The Position

The Associate Director of Financial Aid Advising at the University of Colorado Boulder plays a crucial leadership role within the Office of Financial Aid, which is part of the Enrollment Management unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five plus years of financial aid experience in a higher education setting.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Strong computer skills including software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Title IV financial aid programs and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional rules.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Six years of related experience.
  • Experience with student employment and placement services.
  • Thorough knowledge of State of Colorado financial aid regulations.
  • Experience with federal financial aid data systems including NSLDS, FAAAccess, and COD.
  • Bilingual.

Responsibilities

  • Set customer service expectations and ensure service level goals are monitored and achieved.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas within the Office of Financial Aid to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with communications to provide customer feedback on messaging.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to ensure a positive student experience.
  • Use evaluation tools to assess service gaps and implement new processes.
  • Assign work or projects to team members and support the administration of athletic aid.
  • Responsible for hiring, evaluating, training, and coaching direct reports.
  • Ensure student employees are adequately trained and set expectations for their work.
