About The Position

The Associate Director of Engagement for MBA Admissions is responsible for assisting to recruit, admit, yield, and retain progressively higher quality prospective students to the MBA program and to engage alumni and students in the recruitment process. In addition, s/he will bring strategic vision and meticulous project management skills to efficiently manage and optimize the use of the student ambassador team (14-20 students). S/he will be the relationship manager for faculty and Centers/Initiatives at McDonough School of Business (10-12 entities) to support recruitment and events. S/he will foster university-wide partnerships (across 4 schools w/dual degrees + UG) to better leverage for collaboration in events. S/he will formalize rolodex and expand contacts for alumni willing to support MBA recruitment events. As a recruiter and Admissions Committee member, s/he will represent the school at recruitment events, reviews applications for admission, interviews applicants, meets with prospective students and visitors to campus, serves as an Admissions Advisor, and responds to requests for information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 4-6 years of experience within a corporate or university setting
  • Above-average interpersonal skills and project management skills, with strong communication skills, a team builder, and keen attention to detail.
  • A natural networker who loves engaging with multiple audiences to build and maintain relationships.
  • Is able to establish a strategic vision that meets the department’s goals and best utilizes the resources available. In addition, capable of executing this vision and holding team members accountable.
  • Strong collaborator in nature, possesses sound judgment, critical assessment, with solid follow-up.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have experience with executing and managing events.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Salesforce, Airtable, or Marketo preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, higher education, or counseling preferred
  • Experience in alumni relations, development, sales, business development, or recruitment/admissions experience preferred.
