About The Position

The Associate Director of Development at Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry is responsible for leading all fundraising and development initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on major giving, donor relations, special event coordination, and marketing/public relations. As part of the leadership team, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals and ensure effective donor engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in development functions, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.
  • Annual giving and donor development experience required.
  • Management and supervisory skills required.
  • High level of computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Neon or comparable database preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors' Development Committee.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the annual development plan, focusing on donor engagement and major gift solicitation.
  • Provide regular development reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, highlighting fundraising progress and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to set annual fundraising goals and drive initiatives to meet these targets.
  • Build and manage a comprehensive donor engagement strategy, focusing on major gifts and high-net-worth donors.
  • Oversee donor stewardship and ensure meaningful communication and recognition for donors.
  • Develop and implement the organization's fundraising plan with a focus on sustainable revenue generation.
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising events.
  • Partner with marketing and communications staff to ensure impactful donor communications.
  • Supervise development staff and external partners as assigned.
