The associate director of development for The Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions is a professional who will work collaboratively with the ASU Foundation for A New American University (ASUF) and with leadership, faculty, and staff within the college. Watts College is home to ASU’s most diverse student body, with the highest percentages of minority, transfer, and working students—and the largest community of first-generation college students. Watts College’s degree programs cover the spectrum of public service, including public policy, social work, criminology and criminal justice, nonprofit leadership, emergency management, community development, and more. We are preparing a workforce to take on complex issues. At the same time, our students are making a difference today. Through service-based learning, they put ideas into action. The principal activity of this professional development officer is to identify, cultivate, and solicit individual and organizational funders in response to the needs of the college’s faculty and center directors. The associate director’s effectiveness will be evaluated on the ability to achieve proposal goals and contact metrics consistent with the programs and prospects assigned. The associate director reports to the Sr. director of development in The Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
