Georgetown University's Office of Advancement is committed to cultivating a safe, equitable, diverse, and inclusive work environment that honors the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our broader colleagues and broader Georgetown community. Consistent with our Jesuit values, we aim to foster a culture that accepts and cares for each individual, and we believe this is central to achieving our goals in support of Georgetown's mission. The Associate Director of Development, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic (ADOD) is responsible for engaging current and cultivating prospective donors in the case for support of Georgetown University and in the pursuit of Georgetown's campaign Called to Be. Reporting to the Senior Director of Regional Development for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions, the ADOD is responsible for qualifying, cultivating, and actively managing a portfolio of approximately 100-150 major gift and planned giving prospects and is expected to travel in the DMV region as needed each month and on a quarterly basis outside of the DMV region, including to Baltimore County and North Carolina, in order to meaningfully engage and cultivate a community of support. Working with annual metrics, the ADOD will be expected to make approximately 120 visits annually with current and prospective donors who are undergraduate alumni, current and former parents, and friends. The role will have an annual goal of raising $500,000 or more as the portfolio matures and comfortably asking for five- and six- figure gifts.
