About The Position

The Associate Director of Consultant and Chapter Support leads the strategy and execution of training and onboarding for Educational Leadership Consultants (ELCs) and holistic chapter support for assigned chapters, ensuring a consistent, high-quality member experience aligned with AOII’s strategic priorities. The position oversees the full lifecycle of the ELC program, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management. By aligning consultant preparation with advisor development, the role drives a unified approach to chapter support and operational excellence. Serving as a key partner to staff, volunteers, and collegiate officers, this individual leads with a relationship-first approach, empowering chapters and consultants to foster meaningful sisterhood, operational excellence, and a positive member experience. This is done through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Associate Director fosters a culture of learning, accountability, and a sense of belonging across AOII.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening, facilitation, and the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and discretion in handling confidential matters
  • Experience managing projects, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables
  • Confidence in leading trainings and presenting to groups of varying sizes
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, particularly in a remote environment
  • Experience working with or within volunteer-driven organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language
  • Physical mobility and dexterity to transport files and operate general office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, computer, etc.)
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend functions as necessary
  • Must be willing and able to travel

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing Educational Leadership Consultant (ELC) team that is proactive, responsive, and strategically aligned
  • Oversee the full talent lifecycle for ELCs, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance the ELC training curriculum and development experience
  • Provide ongoing coaching, supervision, and regular performance evaluations
  • Facilitate consistent communication through one-on-one and group engagement in a remote environment
  • Oversee chapter visit scheduling and ensure alignment with organizational priorities; adjust as needed
  • Review and assess ELC reports to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with AOII goals
  • Strengthen the effectiveness and perception of the consultant role as a critical, strategic function
  • Champion a proactive, relationship-driven approach to supporting collegiate chapters
  • Partner with Network teams, chapter officers, and advisors to assess needs, set goals, and strengthen chapter operations
  • Monitor key indicators of chapter health, including recruitment, retention, and member experience
  • Collaborate in navigating complex or elevated chapter situations with care, accountability, and consistency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align initiatives and enhance the member experience
  • Serve as an investigator for risk-related matters as assigned
