About The Position

The Associate Director of Compliance & Title IX Coordinator serves as the principal institution official responsible for coordinating, implementing, and overseeing compliance with the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX). Performs essential functions personally, through others, or in conjunction with designated personnel or outside vendors/experts. In addition, this position will assist the Compliance department in other duties, such as, but not limited to the following: providing required compliance trainings, preparing reports, assisting with required filings to regulatory agencies, overseeing University publications (e.g.' Catalog, Student Manual, Campus Safety & Security Handbook, and website) to ensure regulatory compliance. The Associate Director of Compliance will provide guidance for a wide range of activities related to the compliance requirements of operating an institution of higher education. This position will also serve as the University's Title IX Coordinator. This position will report to the Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness & Compliance. This position will be based on the campus of Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Four years relevant experience.
  • Formal Title IX Coordinator or investigator training, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • JD or master's from an accredited institution in a related field strongly preferred (e.g., criminal justice, higher education administration).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, oversees, and maintains processes for receiving all Title IX complaints and reports of sexual harassment, sexual violence, and related allegations of misconduct.
  • Keeps affected parties apprised of the status of complaints.
  • Ensures investigations of reports and complaints of sexual harassment and discrimination are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential, and impartial.
  • Manages cases in compliance with Title IX and Clery requirements and annual reports.
  • Works with investigators on proposed sanctions for sexual harassment and discrimination before they are imposed.
  • Serves as the institutional custodian of all Title IX, harassment, discrimination, sexual misconduct records for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Provides educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention.
  • Delivers training to university constituents to promote knowledge of institutional policies and pertinent federal and state standards.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure Title IX policy is communicated to all constituencies.
  • Monitors, audits, and oversees compliance of university policies and procedures.
  • Recommends solutions to identified areas of compliance exposure.
  • Provides routine compliance reports to senior leadership as directed.
