About The Position

The Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence (CI) will lead strategic CI activities for key assets within the GIBU portfolio, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. This individual will report to the Director of GI Insights & Competitive Intelligence. This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge, MA.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. scientific or commercial education
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare consulting, insights, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years competitive intelligence experience
  • Matrix stakeholder management experience

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with gastroenterology, dermatology, and/or rheumatology therapeutic areas preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute CI plans to support pipeline and marketed assets in the US.
  • Deliver timely, actionable insights and alerts on competitor activities, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
  • Manage external CI vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables and compliance with ethical standards.
  • Conference Coverage: Lead and coordinate CI activities at major scientific and industry conferences, including pre-conference planning, on-site intelligence gathering, and post-conference reporting.
  • Cross Functional Communication: Partner with cross-functional teams (Global, Medical Affairs, Forecasting, Marketing) to align CI outputs with business needs.
  • Support Investor Relations call preparation and other external communications with accurate, relevant information.
  • Insight Generation & Storytelling: Synthesize complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions.
  • Deliver impactful presentations and recurring updates to senior leadership.
  • Closely collaborate with market research and analytics leads, providing comprehensive view of the competitive landscape, integrating syndicated data, PMR, and secondary data.
