About The Position

Directs and coaches the Career Services Directors and Representatives for all campus locations as they establish and foster relationships with businesses, healthcare facilities, and organizations with positions related to the diploma and degree programs offered by Remington College to generate employment opportunities for Remington College graduates. In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Employer Relations, the Associate Director of Career Services for Administrative Offices will direct efforts to promote Remington College graduates to employers and enhance the visibility of Remington College and its graduates with prospective employers for all campus locations. Maintains a current and competent level of knowledge regarding hiring and employment trends, and acts as a reliable source of information for the management of the Remington College campuses. Directs and coordinates all job placement activities and services for students and graduates and attains targeted placement rates per accrediting/state standards for assigned campuses.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION
  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of previous experience as a Director of Career Services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, and operates at all times within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.
  • Conducts training and professional development for Career Services Directors and Representatives, including providing comprehensive training for newly hired Directors and Representatives.
  • Works in collaboration with Director of Strategic Partnerships and Employer Relations, Campus Presidents, and DCSs on all Career Service operations, plans, execution and placement results at each campus.
  • Assists in planning and developing strategies for underperforming campuses to meet or exceed targeted placement goals; monitors activities to ensure progress; intercedes as necessary to assure desired outcomes.
  • Facilitates monthly strategic planning calls with all campuses.
  • Sets and monitors specific goals for each campus in an effort to ensure each campus meets commission standards for placement.
  • Evaluates the quality of service being provided by the Career Service Departments to students, graduates, and employers.
  • Supports and assists in team development to improve placement outcomes.
  • Identifies training opportunities at campuses.
  • Assists in monitoring staffing for Campus Career Service Departments to ensure adequate staffing to reach graduate placement goals.
  • Ensures all institutional, state and federal accreditation, regulations, statutes, and policies are maintained in all Career Service activities.
  • Ensures campuses follow policies and procedures and ensures integrity of placements.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific subject matter areas under his or her administrative guidance.
  • Reviews placement reports for compliance.
  • Reviews and processes waivers.
  • Collaborates with campus administration to coordinate coverage for Directors of Career Services should a vacancy open at a campus location.
  • Submits performance and status reports and detailed records on campuses on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Researches and identifies employment trends.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains professional and effective working relationships with all other Company personnel.
  • Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Company.
  • Performs the job on site and travels when required.
