About The Position

In this pivotal leadership role, you will guide a team of biostatisticians in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical studies within the oncology domain. You will play a key part in advancing innovative molecular diagnostic programs, ensuring scientific rigor and high-quality statistical deliverables. The role offers the opportunity to drive strategic biostatistical decisions, mentor and develop team members, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver meaningful clinical insights. You will contribute to the adoption of novel statistical approaches, support study design innovation, and maintain the highest standards of data integrity. Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of experience in clinical trial biostatistics, preferably within oncology.
  • Strong expertise in survival analysis, censoring, and other advanced statistical techniques.
  • Experience in study design innovation, power calculations, and simulation approaches.
  • Proven track record in mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex statistical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and foster a high-performing, inclusive environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with NGS, ctDNA, and molecular oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of biostatisticians, overseeing their deliverables, growth, and professional development.
  • Direct biostatistical contributions to oncology clinical validation projects, ensuring scientific rigor and actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement novel statistical methods and simulation approaches to support innovative study designs.
  • Produce, review, and standardize high-quality documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, communicate concerns, and propose solutions within cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage collaborations with CROs, including contracts, deliverables, and performance oversight.
  • Continuously improve team efficiency and effectiveness through process enhancements and innovative techniques.
