About The Position

The Associate Director of Alumni Relations at Georgia Southern University is responsible for managing the alumni relations engagement team, overseeing activities for alumni networks, and developing comprehensive plans to enhance alumni engagement and loyalty. This role serves as an ambassador for the university, focusing on building connections and increasing participation and philanthropy among alumni.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in higher education, event planning, non-profit management, sales, fundraising, or project management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in event planning and fundraising.
• Demonstrated proficiency using Raisers Edge or similar fundraising CRM.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two full-time staff and a student assistant.
• Manage the Alumni Office budget at Georgia Southern's Armstrong campus in Savannah, GA.
• Lead the Armstrong and Washington, D.C. alumni networks to enhance alumni connections with the University.
• Collaborate with enrollment management, development officers, and annual giving teams to plan and execute alumni programming.
• Assist in planning and coordinating regional and signature events such as Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, 40 Under 40, and Alumni Awards.
